I'll stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters met for the customary face-off, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly happening.
